The location was good. Much scope for improvement. Government has a beautiful property and it can be very good except: We had booked a Presidential Suite for 2 nights (12th & 13th March, 2024) for 3 pax (seniors). On 10th November 2023 I had sent the following message….. “We are 3 senior women who will be coming to stay. Kindly put an extra bed in the room. Thank you”. I did not receive any reply. When I arrived on 12th I was told there is no BED. Only a mattress will be provided!! Why was this not communicated to me when I asked for an extra bed in the room? I would have booked 2 rooms. If the President of our country is expected to live in those rooms then we are far from any decent hospitality! The commode in the toilet was full of hundreds upon hundreds of big black ants and some cockroaches! A man from housekeeping came with a pest spray and it made the situation worse with more ants running around. We couldn't use the washroom. Then we changed our room to S2. In S2 the sofa plank came off from its stay and my friend who was sitting went down in a crouching position finding it difficult to get out! I took a pic of the broken sofa n showed it at the reception. He said leave your keys at the reception tomorrow n we will have it repaired. Next day the toilet bowl was filling up with water. It was not draining out. I informed the reception n left the keys when going out. On return by 1pm we were informed that too much toilet paper was flushed down the toilet! My foreigner guests were conveniently blamed for clogging their drains! Not very encouraging for foreign guests is it? Even by 7pm the sofa was not repaired or changed. The excuses given were that the carpenter was busy today; that the change could not be done because the sofa is too wide and it was assembled in the room itself! When my Australian friend said this is nonsense & asked for the manager to be called then suddenly 6 men came to the room and moved the sofa to S1 and brought the sofa from S1 to S2. It was the don’t care attitude that was unfortunate.

Hotel Mayura Bhuvaneshwari is situated at an excellent location when visiting Hampi / Kishkinda. Just 10 minutes drive from the UNESCO Heritage sites / Virupaksha Temple and about 30 mts drive to Anjaneya Hills (Birthplace of Shri Hanumanji). Talking about property, it has a huge land bank, good for an evening stroll and ample parking space for cars / two wheelers. We had booked two Wooden cottages for two small families (four adults and two children), it seemed like the cottages were recently done up and hence no wear & tear, however we were quite disappointed with following points 1. Dining hall had rats roaming around 2. One of our wooden cottage also had a rat 3. Towels provided in the cottages were old & worn out 4. There were mosquitoes in the room when we checked in, although there was a mosquito repellent in the room, but the liquid in the container of the machine was empty, we requested three - four times and even showed it to them to change/refill but they did not bother at all, finally we had to get one each from the market. 5. On the 2nd day of check in there was a team of labourers/gardeners to begin garden work outside the cottage and these people continued working with loud voices, screams, and noise right outside the cottage disturbing the cottage occupants throughout the day. We requested if they could not make so much of noise but our request was completely ignored. 6. Both the dining halls, AC & Non AC i. The service was extremely slow ii. Cleaning of tables/Mats was not done unless asked for iii. Crockery, Cutlery, Glassware was not suitable clean and hygienic iv. More than Half of the items on menu were not available all throughout v. Shortage of Staff leading to delayed food service This property seemed more like a Government, state Guest house where the officially privileged were taken care of and provided services for.

This has always been default destination at Hampi. Location is the best. Checks all the boxes of basic comfort and convenience. Staff is very friendly and accommodative. Most of the Hampi hotspots are just a few mins drive. Can improve on food options though.

This is a large state run hotel in Hampi. It is located close to many of the major attractions. There are AC and non AC rooms, a restaurant and ample parking. We stayed in a semi deluxe room which was somewhat cramped. The AC worked and hot water was available. Some of the plug points did not work. Food at the restaurant was bad. Avoid eating there unless it is absolutely necessary. Their card machine was also not working at the time of our visit. The property gives the impression of being in a run down condition, which is unfortunate since the place attracts a large number of visitors

Such a hopeless and useless Govt Hotel, it's like entering a panchayati office and dealing with panchayati office clerks , the rooms costed a bomb and the name of the room is dome , easily you can make out the KSTDC gives a damn whether you like it or not whether you stay there or not , so different to customer needs we can write a book on ther apathy , we can't blame them if the organisation itself is so hopeless who can be blamed ! Fortunately we having had food there as by ordering two cups coffee, we learnt our lesson ! Forget about competing with other tourism a big joke , if this the state of affairs it would be number one from bottom!!
